b.) Blogs not involved in alternative journalism or niche interests are without value.

But we'll see, just as soon as the semester is over.

I'm on track to get all my books on a single set of shelves. 1.4 gb of actual storage space, non-expandable disappointing at first, until I realized I'd never be able to read that much in my life.

Up late (for me) after reaching a stuck point in Sam and Max episode 205. Tried looking over my google doc stories to edit. Overwhelming and depressing.

Working at two schools.

I've also been putting some effort into organizing my writing. Most of my life I've had a very bad habit of keeping poor track of my work. Once it was written I'd print it, take it to class or the reading, and then pretty much stash it in a folder somewhere. I'm trying to fix some of my organizational problems by creating a profile under Ubuntu dedicated solely to organizing and archiving the stuff I've done in a sensible way. I'm also uploading all of my complete drafts to Google Docs, so that I'll have a centralized place for the best versions of all my stories.

One advantage of being unpublished: when I see something I've written that's garbage, I'm not nearly as mortified as I would be if I knew strangers were associating it with my name.

Fotodiox's fd to eos converter has allowed me to use my old prime lenses from back in high school on my t2i. The infinity focus seems slightly soft in videos, but I'm very happy to have the use of my old friends back. Two zykkor adapters are on the way so I can have the adapters permanently mounted to my old lenses. For the record I'm not being compensated for the links but if any companies out there want to hook a brother up...

Got a Canon T2i and the CS5 Master Collection as a gift to myself (gotta love that faculty discount). I used to love photography in Jr. High and High School, and I sometimes write okay, so of course I secretly want to make movies. Watch this space while I try to figure out how the hell all these toys work.

Work will come back after I figure out how to host it. I'm thinking of using pdf for some of the work. I still hope to get some work in print someday and I figure putting work up in MP3 format will hurt my chances less than having plain text float around for free. The work that would go up in pdf format would have experimental formatting etc. which no print publication would be interested in dealing with anyway.
So the site might be inactive for a long time, but it isn't dead yet.

It's gone.

Another reinvention coming soon. Less neurotic whining. Stories to be uploaded as .mp3 recordings only.

In the meantime, and in keeping with my anchorite tendencies, I'm thinking of buying a large dog crate and converting it into something like a fort or a Japanese hotel capsule. Any guides to wiring for light and soundproofing are welcome.
